Information Internet was founded in 1995 with the specific objective of utilising the Internet for low cost, real-time, fully electronic, trading.

The company supplies trading software, known as "MarketMaker™" to a number of global financial institutions. These corporations use MarketMaker™ to trade a wide variety of financial instruments over the Internet/their own Intranet with a large and diverse customer base. MarketMaker™ is our flagship product.

Information Internet is committed to continual research and development into providing higher performance, more flexible and more robust electronic trading and information facilities across all types of financial market and all internal business processes in the bank/broker/exchange environment.

Information Internet is committed to developing the MarketMaker trading platform to become the definitive technology of choice for all banks and brokers trading via the Internet in real-time in any product, anywhere, with anyone. In so doing MarketMaker will offer the highest levels of security, information flow, risk management and controls, flexibility, and product differentiation.

Over the last two years, more and more financial institutions have entered into the race to establish themselves as serious players in the rapidly expanding market of Internet trading. This is no co-incidence. Having seen the spectacular success enjoyed by the companies that offered Internet trading tools to their customers at an early stage, nearly all financial institutions now realise that the Internet provides them with a unique ability to increase business not only in their own country, but anywhere in the world.

Electronic trading via the Internet is the fastest growing medium for financial transactions. Customers can now deal directly with banks, brokers or exchanges in nearly all financial instruments over the Internet. Technological advancements have given companies the opportunity to provide fully interactive and integrated pricing, information and trading systems to customers on a global scale. The issues of speed, security and consistent connectivity have long been overcome. There are now no barriers to Internet dealing.

Companies who do not exploit the opportunities that Internet trading offers are likely to watch customers in all market areas move to competitors who do, affecting profit margins and eroding future growth. Companies who actively promote Internet trading services ensure an ongoing revenue stream and a constantly expanding customer base to target. These companies can quickly exploit new market opportunities, create new instrument trade flows and new virtual markets, thus consistently maximising profit potential.

The reasons why any financial institution should embrace Internet trading are straightforward and compelling:

A global audience
Companies offering Internet trading facilities have instant access to a massive potential customer base. Target audiences such as individuals, corporations, regional offices and domestic branches either have Internet facilities in place already or can quickly gain access. Profits will be increased because of the huge marketplace that products can be sold to.

Instant connectivity
As the Internet provides instant access to global connectivity, any financial institution can quickly set-up and support a world-wide Internet trading operation, from one central location. Costs are minimised as there is no need to invest in an expensive technical infrastructure to deliver products to a world-wide audience.

Constant evolution
New services can be downloaded directly from a central source (typically the company web page). The ability to offer new products to market and tap into new revenue streams instantly means that costs are minimised, while profitability is optimised.

Information Internet supplies marketing leading technology to its customers. What sets MarketMaker™ apart from any other Internet trading software available on the market today is the unique delivery mechanism it employs. This delivery mechanism gives MarketMaker™ the ability to not only recognise any type of financial instrument that financial institutions want to supply to their clients, but also inter link with any in-house applications which need to be involved in the processing of it.

MarketMaker™ can supply data to and take data from pricing models, credit-vetting systems, margin account checking facilities, payment facilities or position and risk management systems. In short, MarketMaker™ can be developed to work with any customer in-house solutions and handle all aspects of the trading process completely, from accepting the order sent from a customer's desk all the way through to generating the payment of funds from your bank. This means that Information Internets' customers can distribute MarketMaker™ to any target audience or market and know that it is totally future proof. It can continue to adapt and grow to support any future requirements our clients have in terms of new products, new customers and new internal systems and processes.

Information Internet has built its reputation on its ability to supply both off the shelf and tailor made versions of MarketMaker™ that always meet the specific requirements of the customer. In addition, our long-term commitment to ensuring that our clients get the most from our systems ensures they maximise the potential and profitability of their products.

For example, in 1996, our first customer, Currency Management Corporation, launched live spot foreign exchange trading in four currency pairs over the Internet, using Version 1.0 of our MarketMaker™ software. Working in partnership with CMC, we have since produced three separate software upgrades, each adding new functionality and new financial instruments. Today, CMC offer their customers: spot prices for nearly every active currency pair along with: outrights; currency forwards; swaps; EFP's (exchange for physicals); futures and options.

In order to ensure we provide the best solution for each customer, our Sales and Project Management teams will work in partnership with our clients to determine exactly what they require from the MarketMaker™ system. Our support team provides assistance and support, not only through installation and roll out but on a permanent basis thereafter. Our customers can choose the levels of support they require, from remote telephone support during office hours to 24 a day on-site support. We apply this philosophy to every customer and will work in this manner with you to ensure you get the service you want at the outset and the service you need in the future.

MarketMaker™ is Information Internet's flagship product. In basic terms, it incorporates all of the front and back end software and functionality required to allow banks/brokers and other financial institutions to provide information and dealing capabilities to internal or external customers, in any financial instrument, across the Internet or an internal Intranet.

Launched in 1996, MarketMaker™ software was used to complete the first real-time spot foreign exchange deal over the Internet. Today it is used to complete trades for customers in over 100 different countries, annually worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

MarketMaker™ can be tailored to meet the individual requirements of any company, regardless of the number of internal applications, global locations or customers it needs to connect and interact with. It is fully scaleable, specifically designed to be able to grow and diversify along with each customer's needs. MarketMaker™ has been tested to handle in excess of 1500 price updates per second and 1000 historical price updates per second.
